Vineet John Samuel

Visiting faculty of Public Policy

Vineet John Samuel is a Doctoral Candidate at the Hertie School, where he studies the economic and social impacts of the platform economy on developing nations. Vineet holds a Master in Public Policy from the National Law School of India University, and completed his undergraduate at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. He was a German Chancellors Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation for the year 2020-2021, prior to which he was the Asia Democracy Network Fellow at the Centre for Policy Research, New Delhi. Alongside his research, Vineet leads the Public Policy team at the Institute for Sustainable Development and Governance and is a founding board member of the Centre for Competition Law and Economics. He is a regular contributor to publications within the Indian subcontinent and his writing has been featured in The Hindu, The Indian Express, Huffington Post, Asia Times, Mizzima Myanmar and The New Age, Bangladesh.
