Assistant Professor

“Dr. Prasanth C. currently serves as an Assistant Professor at VSEP, Chennai. He is an expert in public finance and macroeconomics, with a remarkable academic and research background. He earned his Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) and Master of Arts in Economics from Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning. He received his Ph.D. in Economics as a UGC-JRF scholar from the Central University of Kerala on his doctoral dissertation exploring the effectiveness of macroeconomic policies in achieving public debt sustainability and fostering economic growth using a macroeconometric framework.

Dr. Prasanth’s expertise spans time-series econometrics, panel data analysis, and macroeconometric modeling, utilizing various statistical and econometric software tools. His scholarly work has been presented at various international conferences and published in journals of national and international repute.

Dr. Prasanth has worked on policy-oriented research projects during his tenure as a Consultant at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy, New Delhi. Committed to advancing economic knowledge and practice, Dr. Prasanth continues to enhance his academic presence, particularly in the domains of public finance, macroeconomics, and public policy.”
