A pass in 10+2 / H.Sc or its equivalent examination with aggregate marks of 60% for General Category, 55% for OBC and 50% for SC/ST/PWD Category.
Admissions will be made for B.Sc. Economics-Hons. with Research Programme on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examinations and merit based Counselling will be conducted by the Admission Monitoring Committee (AMC) of VMRF-DU and the eligibility criteria, prescribed by the VMRF-DU from time to time.
Research is all about knowing the unknown and sometimes unlearning the learnt so as to learn anew.
During my summer internship at Vinayaka Mission’s School of Economics and Public Policy,Chennai, I had the opportunity to work on some fascinating research projects which provided me with invaluable experience. I delved into topics on types of Art in India and knowing about the lifestyle of the artists and gained valuable insights. The hands-on experience and guidance and support from my mentors truly helped me enhance my skills and knowledge in the field and their feedback helped me improve my problem solving abilities and give attention to details.
My internship experience at VSEP was educational and rewarding. It began with a well-structured refresher course that enhanced my technical knowledge and taught me how to write a structured research paper. Under the mentorship of Dr. Shahin Khan, I am working on a paper titled "ESG Reporting: Mitigating Climate Change through Decarbonization Strategies," a subject that deeply interests me. This project has seen significant progress, and through it, I gained valuable insights into environmental economics, a relatively new field for my studies.
